🚴♂️ Delhi to Nagpur–Raipur–Bhedaghat Road Trip (11 Days | 2700 KM) – A Journey of Roads, People & Pure Moments
There are journeys that you plan… and then there are journeys that change something inside you.
Our 11-day, 2700 km motorbike ride from Delhi to Jhansi, Pachmarhi, Nagpur, Raipur and Bhedaghat turned out to be exactly that — a mix of fast highways, quiet forests, family laughter, unexpected pauses, and the kind of memories that stay long after the trip ends.
We travelled on two bikes:
-
Royal Enfield Meteor 350 (my bike)
-
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 (Big Bro’s bike)
Here’s the full story of the ride.
📍 Day 1 – Delhi to Greater Noida (Big Bro’s Home)
I started from Delhi and reached Greater Noida to stay the first night at my Big Bro’s home.
The excitement was already building — two bikes parked, bags packed, route planned… the ride was finally happening.
Next morning, both of us started together.
📍 Day 2 – Greater Noida to Jhansi via Taj Expressway
We hit the smooth Yamuna Expressway, paid the ₹258 toll, and honestly the road felt like butter — clean, wide, and perfect for cruising.
By evening, we reached Jhansi and stayed the night. A simple day, but that feeling of being on the road again… unmatched.
📍 Day 3 – Jhansi to Pachmarhi (Entering the Green World)
Early morning, we started for Pachmarhi, the Queen of Satpura.
The ride became greener, cooler, and more peaceful as we climbed into the hills.
We stayed in Pachmarhi for 2 nights, and those days were pure bliss.
🌿 Pandav Caves & Jungle Ride on Bikes
Exploring the old heritage lines of Pandav Caves… the mountain breeze… and the thrill of entering the jungle roads on our bikes — everything felt raw and beautiful.
🌅 Sunset at Rajendra Giri Viewpoint
We originally planned to visit Dhoopgarh Sunset Point, but bikes are not allowed there.
So we rode to Rajendra Giri Viewpoint, and honestly… it didn’t feel like a compromise at all.
Standing there, watching the sun melt behind soft Satpura hills, with the wind slowly cooling down…
something inside just quietens.
Perfect moment.
We walked around the Pachmarhi market in the evenings — small, charming, with surprisingly affordable and delicious food.
📍 Pachmarhi → Nagpur (The Ride Gets Warmer)
Leaving the hills behind, we rode down towards Nagpur, and the city welcomed us like home.
We stayed in Nagpur for 3 nights at Mausa Ji’s home, and these days added a warm family touch to the ride.
🐓 Nagpur – Family, Farming & Meaningful Places
🌾 A Full Day at Mausa Ji’s Farm House
This day was unexpectedly one of the best parts of the trip:
-
Walked around the green fields
-
Did some gardening
-
Tested the drone in open skies
-
Ate a farm-style lunch together
-
Laughed like children at small things
Sometimes the simplest days are the most unforgettable.
🕊️ Diksha Bhavan – Peace in the Middle of a Busy Trip
We visited Diksha Bhavan, the place where Dr. B.R. Ambedkar embraced Buddhism.
It was calm… grounding… almost like a reminder to slow down and breathe.
📍 Zero Mile – The Centre of India
Standing at Zero Mile Stone — the geographical center of India — felt powerful.
After riding hundreds of kilometres, being at the heart of the country added a beautiful emotional layer to the journey.
👨🎓 Big Bro’s Nostalgia
Nagpur is where my big bro did his MBA, lived in hostels, worked in different organisations.
He spent time reconnecting with old friends — years of memories wrapped into a few evenings.
📍 Nagpur → Raipur (Solo Ride for a While)
My big bro stayed back in Nagpur, and I rode solo to Raipur, staying for two nights at my Sadu Bhai’s home.
These two days were full of local flavour, laughter, and exploring the city.
💧 Visit to TeliBandha Talab (Marine Drive Raipur)
Evening at TeliBandha Talab felt refreshing — calm water, colourful lights, families strolling, food stalls…
A perfect city-night vibe after long highway rides.
🌃 Night Drive in New Raipur
We also explored New Raipur at night, and wow…
Clean, wide roads, beautiful lighting, modern architecture — a completely different feel from old Raipur.
It felt peaceful and modern at the same time.
📍 Reuniting at Bhedaghat (Nagpur → Raipur → Jabalpur)
From Raipur, I started early morning for Bhedaghat, and my big bro started from Nagpur.
We met again there — just like a mini reunion on the road.
🪨 Bhedaghat – Marble Rocks & Dhuandhar Waterfall
We stayed 2 days in Bhedaghat and explored:
-
Dhuandhar Waterfall — unbelievable power and mist
-
Boating between Marble Rocks — the light hitting the white rocks looked magical
-
Bollywood shooting spots
-
Local marble market for souvenirs
Cruising between those tall marble cliffs felt almost unreal — like riding into a postcard.
📍 Bhedaghat → Gwalior → Delhi (The Last Stretch Home)
We started early from Bhedaghat, stayed one night in Gwalior, and then rode back to Delhi.
Total: 2700 km
Total trip duration: 11 days
Feelings at the end: Priceless.
The road teaches you things…
about patience, nature, people, and yourself.
